Copaiba Balsam Essential Oil is often used to combat the
symptoms of colds – including bronchitis, cough and chest congestion.
Copaiba oil-resins extracted have been used medicinally
dating back to the 16th century by the natives of north and northeastern Brazil. The
folk remedies were used as an ointment in the treatment of various diseases.
It is believed to have anti-inflammatory properties and can
be used to alleviate pain caused by sore muscles and arthritis.
This oil should be used in an oil rub as Canola or Grape
seed or your favorite base oil.
This is NOT Fir. Fir has a very pine smell.
Copaiba Balsam is very soothing and healing.

Balsam Essential Oil is safe to use on the skin when applied
as perfume in concentrated form. Be sure to test it to see if you are sensitive
to Essential Oils.
Put it in your body oil. Only a few drops at a time.

What are essential oils?
Depending on the species of plant, essential oils are extracted from the petals, leaves, roots, buds, twigs, rhizomes, wood, bark, resin or fruit. In a few cases, every part of the plant growing above ground is used. There are several ways of obtaining the oil, the most common being steam distillation. This involves putting the plant material in a large, closed container, known as a vat, and forcing steam through it. The heat and pressure release the tiny droplets of essential oil from the plant, which then rise with the steam, out through the spiral tube. This cools the steam and turns it back into a liquid, the essential oil (being generally lighter than water, will float on the top and can be skimmed off.
