Anthony Davis wasn’t a top recruit from day one of high school like many NBA superstars were. In fact, he barely reached the 6-foot mark as a freshman. That changed by the time he started his junior year as he sprouted up to 6-8. As a senior, he played in the McDonald’s All-American Game and then poured in 29 points with 11 rebounds and four blocks in the Jordan Brand Classic. He committed to the University of Kentucky and was outstanding in his lone season there. He pretty much swept all the Player of the Year awards while leading the Wildcats to the National Championship. He had 16 rebounds, six blocks, five assists and three steals in the championship win over Kansas. He captured the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player award, the fourth freshman to earn that honor. Davis has signed this Baden University of Kentucky basketball in black paint pen. His signature is deemed authentic by virtue of Upper Deck Authenticated’s Five-Step Process.
